There are, very broadly speaking, two types of Land Rover owners. Some will sit and polish their vehicles for hours on end, keeping them pristine, enough so that they can see their refl ection in the bodywork. And there’s those who don’t.
If you fall into the former camp, then the news of Autoglym’s Polar Series will be music to your ears – and may convert those in the latter. The range covers your vehicle from the stage of pre-wash all the way through to postwash protection.
Initially, the pH neutral Polar Blast is applied via pressure washer and easily covers the vehicle. It then rests for a convenient period of up to ten minutes, leaving you just enough time to make a brew.

Whilst you’re waiting on the kettle, the foam draws the bigger particles of muck from the surface of your Landy, and is then simply washed off. Then the new Polar Wash gets to work, again applied via pressure washer. Sadly, though, to get the most from it you need to don the mitt and massage it into the metalwork. It’s worth it though, as this process is what gives your pride and joy its glossy finish.
Spray this off, again with the help of the pressure washer and watch the water roll off the corners of the bonnet bead by bead (this is optional and may slow the process). Finally, the also new Polar Seal protects the, albeit easy, work you’ve done so far.
Helping justify the pressure washer purchase again, use it to apply the Seal, avoiding only the windscreen, rinse off once more with the trusty water sabre and there you have it – a proudly pristine vehicle that will repel both water and dirt for a long time. And the process was quick and easy, plus you got a cuppa out of it.
